The Best Rugs Under $250!

I think we can all agree that shopping for rugs can be overwhelming. There are so many styles, sizes, and prices to choose from. What’s great about this rug roundup?

Everything is under $250, and there’s a variety of colors (bold, neutral, and in between) to pick from.

Also, texture! I know shag carpet ended years ago, but it’s fun to have different options depending which room your rug will be in.

At the end of the post, I’m sharing Elsie’s tips for keeping rugs clean. This is a popular question in the ABM world since so many of us love light colored rugs.

You can’t go wrong with a simple jute rug. Elsie swears by this one and has used it time and time again. The best part? It goes with everything and it’s easy to clean.

I’ve wanted this pink terrazzo rug ever since Laura bought one for her living room (tour coming soon). I love the blush pink, but it also comes in this color if you want something in warmer tones.

This soft chenille rug has rich colors and a classic geometric print. It comes in multiple sizes and the largest is under $200. Score!

The tone-on-tone maze pattern of this cream rug adds pattern without being overwhelming. I love a cream rug in a bedroom or a “shoes-off zone” to keep your rug looking it’s best for longer.

These are my colors. I love orange and pink together, and the green is the icing on the cake. I always take reviews into account when shopping for a rug and this one has tons of 4.8 star ratings.

Did you know that Rifle Paper Co. makes rugs? They’re amazing and the prices are, too. I can tell this rug would be even more stunning in person!

File this moroccan shag rug under the classic category. The design is so versatile that you could use it in a colorful room to add texture and depth to the space.

How amazing is this woven rug? The colorful ombre look is incredible and the way it’s crafted (by artisans committed to fair labor practices) is even better. I really love this rug.

I had no idea that faux cowhide rugs were easy to clean until Emma told me about one she had in her dining room. The fibers can be spot-cleaned, so you don’t have to worry about spills as much. Another neutral rug that can “dress up” any space!

I’ve been looking for a new blush pink rug for my living room and this one is on my list. It’s made from an eco-friendly fiber that’s easy to clean, this is extra important since I have a dog. I love the texture and pattern on this one, too.

Another rug that would look SO good in a bedroom or dining room. It’s simple with a little something extra. And it’s thick enough that it doesn’t need a pad underneath. Don’t forget to check that when purchasing your next rug!

How To Clean Rugs

Elsie owns a mix of vintage and newer rugs and she swears by this cleaner. Keeping your rugs vacuumed (at least once a week) is another trick to keep them looking new and fresh. You can read more of her tips for cleaning rugs here.

Speaking of vintage rugs, Elsie’s favorite places to shop for them are:
