IMC Offers Five Opportunities to Interact with Fall 2021 High Point Market TrendWatch Trends

DesignOn HPMKT by IMC – International Market Centers’ (IMC) programming and social media presence at High Point Market – is offering five ways to interact with its newest proprietary TrendWatch report: a pre-market webinar, live at-market seminar, guided tour, three trend displays and a digital look book, all featuring product from IMC exhibitors at the October 16-20, 2021 market. The report features more than 100 products by nearly 70 brands showcasing three trends – AWAY, MALLEABLE and VERVE.

“TrendWatch is the hallmark of the DesignOn HPMKT by IMC programming as an in-depth look into the trending product available for immediate ordering at market,” said Dorothy Belshaw, IMC executive vice president, chief customer and marketing officer. “Through programing before and during market, we are giving buyers the tools to identify and take action on the must-have décor, accessories and furniture offered only by IMC exhibitors.”

Webinar, Seminar and Tour

TrendWatch programming led by curator Julie Smith Vincenti of Chicago-based Nine Muses Media – who has 25 years of experience in magazine editing and home furnishings trends forecasting – meets buyers where they need it for Fall 2021.

The pre-market “TrendWatch: Fall 2021 Webinar,” on Wednesday, October 6 at 1 p.m. is a deep-dive into trendsetting product at High Point Market timed as attendees are making market appointments. In the free, one-hour webinar, Vincenti offers insight into how the Fall 2021 TrendWatch trends will influence interior décor and product designs for furniture, upholstery, fabrics, decorative accessories, that designers and retailers will find at market. Attendees will earn 1 CEU. Registration it at

Vincenti repeats her presentation in-person at market in “TrendWatch: Fall 2021 – LIVE at Market!” on Saturday, October 16 at 1:30 p.m. in the DesignOn HPMKT by IMC Seminar Room (SAMS). The live presentation will give designers and retailers creative insight to meet the needs of their clients as they source on-trend product from IMC’s High Point exhibitors. Attendees will earn 1 CEU. Registration is at

Attendees can explore TrendWatch product selections in-person during the TrendWatch Tour, which returns after a pandemic hiatus. On Sunday, October 17, from 2:30 to 4:00pm, Vincenti leads attendees through the three key design directions by visiting the three TrendWatch displays in the Suites at Market Square lobby, the walkway between IHFC and Showplace, and the IHFC Green lobby. Registration is required at

TrendWatch’s three Fall 2021 trends – AWAY, MALLEABLE and VERVE – are brought to life through careful curation of products submitted by IMC High Point Market exhibitors. Vincenti selected 107 décor, accessories and furniture products from 68 brands to visually represent these design directions in the webinar, seminar, guided tour, guide book and onsite displays

AWAY: TrendWatch is going on vacation — and so are millions of consumers pumped up by post-pandemic wanderlust. No single destination or landscape reigns; instead, individuals, couples and families are crafting custom experiences that set course for all terrain types, from tropical oasis to desert retreat and all destinations in between. Find a casual backdrop of exotic patterns, low-tech craftsmanship and inspiring colors in AWAY, which also presents current trends in consumer discretionary spending. Featured products include: Rainforest Embroidered Decorative Pillow by Annie Selke (CODARUS); Nest round chair INDOOR by Cane-Line; Zara floor lamp by Pacific Coast Lighting; “The Swimmer” giclée by RFA Décor; and Basket Meridian chaise lounge by Sifas.

MALLEABLE: The so-called red metals — copper, brass, and bronze — forge ahead in a masterful presentation of contemporary forms, traditional craftsmanship and authentic finishes. Warm, earthy and emitting a glorious glow, this season’s MALLEABLE workshops both past and present across a style spectrum that spans Art Deco to Modernism. Featured products include: Mid-Graphics giclées by Celadon Art; Nantucket Artxtiles tapestry by Creative Touch; Fenwick Bartel Snakeskin wallpaper; Moa Desk by Indo Puri; and Remy Maroon Velvet Swivel Chair by TOV Furniture.

VERVE: Enthusiasm, creativity and spirit abound in VERVE, a vibrant showcase that unites and inspires by way of dialed-up pastels, prismatic brights and glowing tech hues. VERVE tempts with colors primed for a subtle room refresh or a full-on reset. Design, decorate and stage with gusto and confidence this fall… VERVE shows how. Featured products include: Tayra Table Base with White Glass Top by Amisco Industries; Montauk 3 Seat Sofa by Azzurro Living (CODARUS); Gucci Strength wall art by Stephen Wilson Studio; Megalith pendant light by Studio M Lighting; and Pop Floral Mural by York Wallcoverings.
